Been working on this on and off for the past few days.
I'm sure a lot more of you /don't/ know who this guy is than those who do know him. His name is Sakata Ginoki and he's from a hilarious shounen manga/anime in Weekly Shounen Jump called Gintama (trans: silver soul). Isn't his outfit so awesome??? That was basically the reason I got interested in the manga a few years ago: his outfit and his cool (narutal perm XD) hair. It turned out that the manga is absolutely hilarious.
I really wanted to be able to write 洞爺湖 (Lake Touya) on his wooden sword, but it's written on the outward-facing side and there was no way that I could position the sword so that the kanji would be visible without it looking very strange. Oh welllll...
I started making the helmet and goggles that he wears while riding his little scooter, but they didn't look right so I abandoned them for now. I may try them again later. I could always skip the helmet and put the goggles around his neck like he often wears them.
aaggh. My stupid keyboard is breaking. *throws it out window* Now it's broken. Plus, I just finished a big essay and feel like messing up in Grammar/English just to spite my English teacher... >D

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
